Sorry, the other Red Bull thread got a little off topic...
I've drank energy drinks for years and they've never had any effect, or maybe I just didn't drink em enough at the right time, or whatever...
I guess maybe I didn't take the red bull thing seriously. 
But I've been keeping it around lately for my wife and have started to drink it myself, so this morning when I started getting hit immediately upon getting up I popped 2 into a glass and chugged them and the hit dissapeared in 3 min!!!
Holy Shit! I really can't believe it!
Of course on an empty stomach, I feel like I just did a line of crystal, but...
Thanks for the idea everyone!
And for those of you like me that haven't tried it, you really should!!!

Yeah, it didn't taste too good and it made my stomach feel pretty nasty for a while.... But I've lately been getting used to the taste and I almost like it.

All the warnings I've seen say not to drink more than 4-6 per day. Me, I limit myself to 2, usually one per day.

Yeah, I know...
I usually drink at least 4-5 energy drinks pretty much every day anyway. And 10 or so does sound pretty excessive... I wonder if you can OD and what happens if you do???
Given the choice of a hit or two more RB's I think I'll take my chances with it...

You know we should keep it under wraps that red bull works for some... if glaxo found out they would buy the company and triple the price....(to offset research and development).... ....I find myself building a tolerance to them though but thet are great at killing shadows....now they just need to change the flavor...

I found out about caffeine from taking Cafergot. I dropped the ergotamine as it made me sick. But I noted that each tab had 250mg of caffeine. So I started aborting with strong coffee and Mountian Dew. I only knew it worked so if one was good two is better. NOT.
I found after two weeks my daily caffeine intake exceeded my calorie intake. It started to become a trigger and prolonged rebounds. This is just my experience, I learned to use the caffeine in tandem with other aborts to alleviate this.
Drink up I have aborted more attacks with caffeine than anything.

Back in the day I remember Flo and company analyzing the ingredient list to figure our what works for us. Anything ever come of that? Or is it a combo of chilled goodness and the nutrients your body craves?
Cuz to be honest, two Red Bulls cost more than one nasal hit of Suminat, that generic Imitrex from India.

I believe it's caffeine in large amounts coupled with taurine that does the trick.
And Aldi sells a knock-off called Red Thunder - 79 cents a can. Works just as effectively. And I've actually grown to like the taste. It's not as sickeningly sweet as regular soft drinks. Maybe I'll be drinking it with caviar next. 
Edited to add: If I could just get past the fact that caviar is FREAKIN' FISH EGGS!

A favorite nightspot of mine started substituting some knock-off for Red Bull in drinks. A patron who bought a tray-full of JaegerBombs saw the knock-off Bull, and thus questioned why he did not get a knock-off price... with each one still costing 3 or 4 bucks.
Being not entirely sober, I laughed and completely saw his point. He paid, but let her keep the empty cans as her tip.

Back several mnths ago I posted about this stuff I had been taking called Acai superberry formula, a nasty liquid energy supplement I got at costco. Back then I had a lull in the headaches while drinking it, but that was before my cycle was getting bad.
It has 500mg of taurine per oz, and it does a pretty good job of waking your ass up in a hurry!
I guess I'll get some more as soon as I can get back to costco, along with a couple cases of RB... And see if it has any effect.
Someone else should try it too. It tastes pretty bad, but it's just a small shot and it does make you feel good!

It's funny, but I actually like the taste of red bull. When I drink it at work, I get all kinds of comments....usually things like, "I don't know how you can drink that stuff" and "What are you doing drinking that crap?" I always drink one at lunch when at work, even if I don't have an attack - it just helps with my constant migraine.
The first time I tried red bull (well, a generic red bull actually!) was when I was in England. I tried one at Helen's house, and it did actually abort an oncoming hit that hadn't gotten bad yet. I was pretty surprised! I had avoided trying it because I had tasted Mountain Dew's MDX and thought it was disgusting, and my brother had said red bull was gross. But I really do like it! Strange....
In reality, red bull doesn't have as much caffeine as a double shot from starbucks or other starbucks coffee drinks. I don't drink coffee at all, and the only caffeinated beverage I drink besides red bull is diet coke - which does nothing at all for me in terms of caffeine. I wish I liked coffee because of how tired I am all the time and the early hours I work, but I just don't. Red bull is a nice substitute for me!
All things said though, I only drink at most 2 a day. I have a very rapid heart rate as it is and have a history of high blood pressure, although my blood pressure has been good lately. I don't want to risk it!
My brother works in advertising and someone he knows has talked to the red bull folks about why they don't put out a different flavor. The response was that it's red bull - not orange bull or purple bull - red bull....they aren't planning a different flavor. That was the last I heard! lol

The Red Bull hits work for me on a limited basis, but they DO work! Weird, 'cause me on caffeine, can you use redundant in a sentence?
I do worry about the amount though. Be careful or can end up with a stomach problem. But, hey, after a CH who cares!
