rosybabe, why is it that we sufferers can find out all kinds of info and treatments that may work for us, but so many so called "doctors" even headache "specialists" dont have a clue? It makes me so angry sometimes. I have diagnosed myself, looked into treatments and suggested them to doctors for myself, and I believe I have done a better job for myself than any so called specialist has ever done for me. For example, I started seeing a headache specialist two years ago when my neuro was doing nothing for me. She prescribed o2, but she didnt prescribe enough lpm, and i was under the assumption that o2 didnt work for me until I looked into it myself and found that I needed 12-15 lpm for it to work. How come a specialist doesnt know these things? Sorry to vent, but it really gets on my nerves. Chrisw

Because Drs are busy making money for the maybach payment or the mortgage of their half million mansion or the annual 20,000 golf club premium..or how to pay for the 10th cosmetic surgery for their trophy wives??? WE patients..are left to find the cure for our sickness and tell them what to give us.. I do not know where they put the oath to cure their patients..oh wait! I know where!!..it is to graphic to mention here sorry to all the real Drs out there who really care about us..we just want to vent a little

youre right rosybabe. thanx again for your kindness during my bout with depression the other day. well the depression is gone and the anger is kicking in. Im ready to do something for myself now and everyone on this site is responsible for me not sinking any further than I already did. I am sick of doctors, sick of pain, sick of being cranky and tired with my family all the time, sick of not being able to do what I want when I want for fear of a ha setting in, I am ready to kick some ch butt. with or without a doctors help. Hopefully this is not just due to the fact that I had some sleep last nighth and I feel so much better. Maybe tomorrow I will be calling that stupid doctor for some help. I hope you a feeling well and I wish pfd to everyone. chrisw

They tried a similiar experiment at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale AZ. several years ago. They used the same nerve stimulator as the one they use on epilectic (sic) patients. Of the 8 CH patients that underwent the procedure, 7 reported %100 success for the first 6 months. The article was in JAMA. But I haven't been able to find anything about it since. But I'm just a dumb ol fisherman. Maybe one of you folks will have better success in finding what the eventual outcome was.

This has had a little exposure in the UK too - did notice it upset a lot of the CH community and seems to be unproven at best but probably preferable to even more invasive techniques. Rumours that the next version will include a digital radio receiver and integral MP3 are as yet unfounded.
