If you have access, source of this info is: New York Times, 2/20/07, "Science Times" section. The article warns of massive amounts of counterfeit drugs coming out of China. Reported that in SE Asia, 53% of antimalarials were fakes. While other specific types of drugs were not mentioned, I would take this as a general warning to not buy meds from oveseas sources other than in Canada and Great B. The Canadian version of the FDA is as effective as the FDA in protecting their meds. The issue is that buying from South America, Asia, etc. you have no way of knowing the mfg. source. China has become very aggressive in international commerce and one simply cannot know what is being sold. You may pay a bit more to buy from Canada but you have as much assurance as is reasonably possible that the product is legit.
