Take a close look at this webpage... click on each of the 18 "short names" on the chart... including sumatriptan (Imitrex), serotonin, melatonin and psilocybin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tryptamine BB

You're right Bob, it is fascinating! I think it was pinky (or maybe Flash) who first told me that sumatriptan is basically sulphonated DMT and psilocybin is phosphorylated DMT -Lee

Bob, after reading your post I have a question. Any idea why I cannot use Trex or Relpax without serious cardiac complications and yet I seem to be able to "Bust" without them? Dosage? At any rate interesting piece.......Tim

Tim, I think it's because sumatriptan is a powerful vasoconstrictor. The tryptamines psilocybin, melatonin and serotonin are not. BB

Well to me it simply shows to some extent the molecular structure of these various compounds are very similar. That being said the multitudes of hormones and neurotransmitters, indeed are chemically interacting and reacting resulting in autonomic and nervous responses we call being. Varing amounts of trypamines, tonines, choalines, hormones and other neurotransmission chemicals are manufactured by the endocrine system and controlled by the hypothalmus or not (hypothetically) resulting in CH and the pain. (VERY BASICALLY) In laymans terms, there is a fine line between happy and hoppy. jb
