Doc prescribed prochlorperazine 10mg (substitute for compazine 10mg) to alleviate vomitting which has started to occur with severe HA's. Advised taking with Maxalt 10mg for severe HA and alone for shadows. Anyone heard of this.

Last night I had shadow and took prochlor. for first time. 15 minutes later I knew HA at least 8 was coming and took maxalt (first time trying triptan other than imitrex pill that I vomitted last cycle) with very successful abort. It took twenty minutes but dropped back to shadow when it would have gone to fullblown.

I have only one more maxalt (given sample only) before I will have to try Amerge or Relpak, or I go back to doc and ask for more Maxalt. I'm positive that maxalt saved my bacon last night. Are the other triptans as good?
