PT-due to innjury?

I started physical therapy yesterday because I hurt my already damaged neck pretty bad in my recent car accident. I was hesitatnti do it because my regular doc was not ther when I went right after. But, he gave me the okay. I did traction, ultra sound, electro-stimulaion(?), and acupuncture. The acupunctur really worked or at least gave me a little bit of much need brak from the Beast. The weekend had been pretty bad as I would go in and out of HA's every 2-3 hours for that entire 48+ hours. It released something in my neck and I have been HA free since 11am Monday. I know it could be a # of things at this point(i started back on pred taper yesterday and we upped the dose on verap. I also started the Kudzu yesterday). Im' not really asking why at this point, just happy to get some off time. I'm also taking Lasix for fluid caused by my higher dose of Verap . Any way, any help any of you may be able to give here would be greatly appreciated. Pfunk PS- I am no longer taking the Vicodin prescribed for the nneck pain because I would much rather suffer through that pain than visit with the monster anyday.

Still HA free since Monday 11:30 AM. I'm possitive that the prednisone has something to do with it. One way or the other, I've gotten some rest over the last 2 nights and I am overly grateful for any bit that I can get. I don't know, maybe the Kudzu started working sooner than I expected. Just thankful and keeping fingers crossed. The pred was the first step we took last year to find a lapse in the cycle so I"m hoping it works the same this year. Much luv and PF wishes to all Pfunk

You go PFunk, so glad to hear you're gettin a break! Yeah that pred can really stop the beast for awhile, as I know from experience, and as seen in the the cluster survey. It'd sure be cool if the Kudzu was responsible for some of the relief you're getting. Unfortunately I took prednisone for too long during one long drawn out cycle when I was succumbing to desperation. That's just STOOPID - glad folks here seem to have more sense than to pull a stunt with a very powerful and potentially dangerous drug like that. It'll screw over your immune system and all kinda other stuff, which is so not worth it. Gotta watch the temper when on pred too, since it can turn an ordinary mild mannered person into a quick tempered hot head. I really hope to avoid it during any future cycles, as I had my chance and time to move on. Just glad I'm seeing so many more alternatives that have been working for people here.

Cluster Headaches: better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!.....er...well OK, they actually DO feel quite similar.

Just kind of checking in as I have just gotten my first bad hit since Monday morning. Since then I had been able to get away with taking no other prescription meds than my verap and Lasix. Ihad had a few shadows and such but tonight I woke up with a wallbanger. Ihad been able to get rid of any thus far with ice and/or O2. Well, as I have become very good at administering the O2 in the dark I put the mask on without realizing that I was about to run out. So, just as it was starting to ease off, I ranout. Not to worry though as I have stockpiled my trex over the last week since I haven't been using much this week so I gave myself a shot but now can't get back to sleep. Not feeling too bad though. I think that maybe the Kudzu might be helping in easing the intensity of the attacks. Anyway it was great to get the little brak that I did and maybe this may start the beginning of the end of this cycle. Either way, I'll keep plugging and keep fighting as I refuse to let "HIM" win. Much luv and pain free wishes to all! Pfunk

That's the spirit! Never ever quit, never give in, never give up. Glad you got a pred holiday-I have run out of O2 during a hit once-my husband is now in charge of the O2- though it has stopped working for me for the most part-I keep trying. I haven't taken a triptan in 3 weeks-been getting hit-but I do not like the side effects. Keep up the good fight and the good attitude! PFDAN y'all kathy
