Rozerem: Anyone tried it?

My partner was detailed by a rep on Rozerem which apparently acts upon Melatonin receptor sites to aid sleep. I have had less night time attacks since taking 9mg of Melatonin at night. He gave me 6 days of samples to try as he thought it may help my symptoms, though I hate to stray from the improvement I have had from the OTC melatonin if others have had less than positive experiences with it. Leaning towards giving it a try tonight as I have been having a few breakthrough nighttime attacks of late. If so, I will definitely report my experiences with it.

Boomer - From your other post -- saw you're on verap -- did a quick interaction check and found the following: The following drug-drug interactions are found: Verapamil ( Calan® | Calan® SR | Covera-HS® | Isoptin® | Isoptin® SR | Verelan® | Verelan® PM) and Ramelteon ( Rozerem™) Severity: Moderate Verapamil can cause increases in the amount of Ramelteon in the blood. Taking these drugs together can increase the risk of serious side effects

| Another great reason why none of us should take any drugs (in any amount) unless told to do so by our own doctors. I took Rozerem for awhile ( I still have a few ). Actually they may have helped me sleep while preventing some nighttime attacks. No noticable side effects to report. UNsolved
