O2 Mask Question

I got some O2 delivered tonight and not only did they not bring a non-rebreather mask they did not even have a regular mask which I have used successfully in the past. All he could find in the truck was a stupid nose canula. I realize that is not going to work but I cannot get a mask until tomorrow. So my question is has anyone ever engineered a home made mask? I was thinking of poking the tubes through a zip lock to let it fill up some and breath in. Obviously I would need to remove it to exhale but it may work huh? Any other ideas? I was happy with how quick a Red Bull helped this morning for me, although I was jittery as hell until I got some lunch later. I just can't be drinking Red Bull in the middle of the night tonight.

Hi John Yep you can use a zip bag as a reservoir; what I did once when I went bush & left my mask at home was to poke the air tube into a zip bag in one bottom corner and tape it up so it wouldn’t leak & in the other bottom corner I taped a piece of half inch PVC conduit & breathed through the conduit by mouth & exhaled through my nose, worked like a charm. The zip bag I used was pretty big and gave a good supply of o2. Hope this helps till you get a non rebreather mask. Cheers Barry

| I have. Works like a charm, under a buck. Some assembly required. Not for the novice.

Thanks guys, those are awesome! Luckily I did not need it during the night last night, I do not always get awakened with them. They are bringing my real mask today.

Thank you all...speaking of masks, I just found on a search hear this Clustermasx. Are those no longer available? The site appears to be down but I read they had great results.

No no no, The clustermasx is NOT a banned topic. Chewy is.... not the mask. I went to my link for the clustermasx and you're right I couldn't get through either. Strange. Maybe wait a few days to see if there was some internal problem from the site? I don't know. The clustermasx is a Godsend and is far superior in aborting a hit.

ahh..sorry, I didn't realize you were responding to the "other" masks posted by Chewy. Those might also help a clusterhead though. Looks like the clustermasx site is back up. Thanks,
