Leeches anyone?

Saw a documentary on the use of leeches in treatment of intracable back pain. Seems the little blood suckers inject a mild tranquilizer or pain killer at the site of (eww) attachment. The guy that was having this done claimed to be getting relief. As one who has tried darn near everything for the blasted headaches, am wondering if I should go down to the nearest pond and scrounge around for some leeches. Then I could place them strategically on the right side of my face at the first sign of a hit. Would be cheaper than red bull or triptans. I am totally kidding....but after 19 months without a pain free day would almost be willing to try this PFDAN to y'all, kathy

Come here ya little bloodsuckers.... I am totally grossing myself out-which is really hard to do.... OMG-attention all people reading this thread-I really don't recommend this-I am joking-probably not appropriate for this part of the board-sorry-please do not take me seriously- the opinions expressed by this poster in no way reflect the general concensus of CH.com, the medical community, or anyone else, for that matter. But, I really DID see a documentary! kathy
