Hey Gang,

I have used CPAP now for a couple years and while I feel it has done very little to help with my Clusters it has helped me sleep.  However,  I recently had a change that I wanted to check out with the rest of you.

I have now noticed that every morning for the last couple weeks when I get up and remove my CPAP within a few moments I get hit.  My wife reports no change such as snoring,  I have worked with this equipment for 13 years so I know that it is functioning.  Have any of you noticed this or had this occur before?

I thought it was just me, I've noticed since using the cpap I always have one upon awakening in the morning.  When I'm in cycle I'll get up an hour early just to deal with it before I have to be out and about.

No, for me very seldom CH in the morning after waking up and then sometimes the CH wakes me up before I take off the CPAP.

Have you tried leaving the CPAP on for a while after waking up? - No, for sure not all day!  Grin

Edit to add:
Chronic CH since 2000 - CPAP since 2001

After I started CPap, I would occassionally have a headache when I woke up. An increase in pressure from 7 to 8 fixed that. However, I still have headaches through the day at times. They are less often, less severe, and of shorter duration, though. I can deal with it since I am sleeping well.

Wishing you all PF days.

If I get hit in the morning, it's 2-3 hours after I wake up. Somewhat rare, though.

When in cycle I end up having to take my CPAP off 90-120 minutes after I go to bed so I can hit the crack pipe - I mean oxygen. That nighttime hit is the one I can set my watch by. Just when REM sleep starts.

I hear that!  Me Too!!!  However, for the last several weeks it means I get hit everyday!  My norm is 3-4 days a week they are very busy days I think at least four hits a day.
