Verap and such

I am now taperering off verapamil as my doctor is going to have me try Lyrica (sp?). Anyone use it recently? Not many past posts about it. I am now up to 21mg of melatonin and sleeping 6 straight at night. Still getting hit 4 times a day, though the intensity of two has dropped significantly, while two are still rippers. As my evening hits started to get less intense, my first thing in the morning hit started to get more intense. Crappy way to start the day.

Haven't heard of Lyrica or tried it. Glad the melatonin is helping you sleep, amazing how awesome 6 hours of sleep can be huh? Sorry to hear you're still in the tough part of the treatment. It's such a pisser that this beast doesn't follow a one size, one treatment fixes all! Hang in their, hoping and praying you find the magic cocktail that gives you some relief. Guiseppi

I tried it but it didn't work for me, BUT that doesn't mean it won't work for you.

I know someone that has chronic pain (not HA) and was put on Lyrica and it appears to work really good. Let us know how you make out. I'm thinking of asking my MD for it.

Lyrica is being used a lot of the time instead of neurontin. Supposedly has fewer side effects. Some addictive potential though the mfg claims there isnt. My mate says overall may help about 10% for severe other nerve pain.
