mangosteen juice

Every year I have a bout of clusterheadaches starting in october. A couple of years ago I started drinking mangosteen juice daily. This past oct I had one headache and that was it. That is the only thing I can attribute it to. Also I haven't had a cold or a sinus infection since I started it. No I'm not selling it and am not sure that is the reason but as anyone that has these headaches knows it is worth a shot.

Worth a shot, sure. But your logic is flawed. It's like saying, "This morning I put on a necktie and I got a headache. When I got to work I took it off and the headache went away. Therefore, neckties cause headaches." There would need to be a whole lot more empirical evidence to indicate a solid connection. How does it taste?

| I would think so, if they contain xanthones, and if the xanthones block enough calcium channels to have an effect. Also less expensive, atleast the tablet form that I came across on the web a few months ago. I bought some canned mangosteen a while back, but it was only the inner fruit - pure white, no xanthones. The texture reminded me of canned mandarin oranges. The taste was more like lychee.
