Kudzu questions

I saw a liquid w/kudzu on one site which I'm thinking of trying.  Has anyone tried it?

Also, some kudzu has concentrate of 5 to 1, and other varrying amounts.  Which is better for our purposes?

I haven't tried anything yet.

A local health food store has something with 3 ingredients, one of which is Kudzu, and it is $34.00 for 100 capsules and only about 500 mg.  All the email sites are cheaper and offer kudzu by itself.

Reading through the threads, I saw that one variety of kudzu is arrowroot.  I used this over 20 years ago when one of my children was on a restricted allergy diet, and I did have fewer headaches that year (1985), just using it as an alternate food substance.

Also, my new doctor is willing to read about kudzu, and I'm looking for the shortest most technical article on ingredients and tests.  If I can't find one short enough, I will just cut and paste the ingredients and the pictures of the molecules.

Thanks, Charlotte

$34 is too much.

Arrowroot and kudzu are two different plants. No benefits of arrowroot for clusterheads, as far as I know.

I don't think that it matters if it is a 5:1 concentrate, or a 1:1 dried root.  The dosage is less with a concentrate, but either works as long as it contains enough of the ingredient puerarin.

My CH website got flaky - will try to get it back online (hopefully later tonight). It has the most relevant technical info for your doctor.

Thank you.  I think I have your article printed out at home, and I will check the site again tomorrow.

So either concentrate or regular is OK, just follow the directions on the bottle - right.

I have the websites for iherb and vitacost, so I will use one of them.

Did you ever try the liquid extract?

Thanks, Charlotte

Charlotte, there was one tester who used a tincture, which I believe is a liquid extract. His results were excellent. I always had very good luck with iherb.com
