well seems like it wont be anytime soon until i get the 4mg trex. and nurses at the neuro's office tell me that he wont give the vials. so here is my solution to the imitrex tip. in kind of scared to use the tip, nervous about using a needle twice. but what if i use the trex tip and put it in to a needle that they use for insulin. i think that it will work.

You could try that. I know some have done it that way. the only thing with using your own needle a few times is that it is not as sharp. If you clean it properly after each use then you should be fine just using the "tip" I haven't used any trex in months (personal choice) and despite having vials and syringes, I find/found it more convenient to carry around a statdose and use the tip when necessary. That's just me. You'll figure out what works for you. E

Hi there, I'm a new member & this is my first post. Have been suffering with these things for 8-10 years now & have just come to realize that I'm not the only one. Didn't realize there were so many of us Anyway, have just come from the neuro's office & he perscribed me the "trex" by injection (6mg). Never done this before - does it really work Also gave me Depakote as a preventive. Have only been reseachering this since the start of this session, but was told that accu-puncture may be a route. Anyone know Will appreciate any feedback & happy to be a part of an informative group who also suffer from these things.

Welcome, Campe. Save your money on the accupuncture. It wont help. Look on the left for the Imitrex tip, it will save you some money. Keep reading... there's lots of info here. pain free wishes, nani
