OČ And schedows

Should I use OČ for shadows or WHAT WORKS BETTER?, I am limited ( by my Insurance) to 5 tanks of OČ (15 Kg ea.) at 200bar which should last about 3 - 3.5 hours (i.e. 16.5 hours a month) if I use it at a flow of 9-10lt./min. for 10 min. with 2 attacks a day, which is the "normal" cycle with me when the "Gloa" didn't kick in....... I hope I will not get to more! if I use it for the shadows (I get them 3-4 times a day).....I will be very fast out of OČ.....Using it at the rate of 9-10lt./min. for 10 min. which was recommended to me!..... Adding to it, I'm trying as much as possible to avoid Triptans (Zomig Nasal)as using too much of it seems to me like it triggers headaches...... and all the "Woodo" treatments or the odd ones (Sex?! - although it is a nice thing by itself but that is one of the things I dont think of when I am in pain.....).... I wish I had for each one of the "woodo / odd ones only one Swiss Frank and I wouldn't have to work any more...... so what is left? Michael

...because yesterday is history and you never know what tomorrow will bring. "Med free"- A few seeds and lots of O2-LG but not great.

Michael, how about a strong cup of coffee or red bull, sometimes deep breathing while walking fast helps. Best of luck.

I don't do anything with shadows except thank God it isn't any worse (seriously). I only use Triptans when needed badly because O2 didn't work and it is nighttime and i have a "bad" HA. I guess to each their own. Personally, I wouldn't waste any of my resources on shadows. Before I had CH, I would have thought shadows were bad headaches, now I am happy they aren't worse. Insurance is a very sore subject to me. O2 tanks here last me 4 uses and are $20 a shot (without insurance.. $6 with insurance for me). Also, I use it at 8 per for 15 minutes (or a few minutes after the HA has been kicked). Good luck.

Ginger can be helpful with shadows. A good strong cup of ginger tea, say a teaspon in a cup. Keep stirring as it doesn't dissolve well. Add a little sugar and it makes a nice drink. -tommyD
