I dont take it but my wife is using it for other nerve pain. She was on neurontin and doc switched her to lyrica due to depression and other side effects caused by neurontin. Seems to work better for her and no mood changes. MJ

Lyrica had less side effects for me than neurontin, too, but I'm currently getting off it because it didn't help my CH or chronic migraine either. Don't know that too many clusterheads have tried it. I thought it was worth a try, nonetheless. Only side effect I had was sleepiness. Good luck! Carrie

After suffering for almost a month with another round of Cluster Headeaches (and no relief from all the medicine I was taking) my physician prescribed Lyrica. For me it is a WONDER drug. The first couple of weeks you might feel like you're "swimming through peanut butter" but that soon goes away. The headaches stopped completely 2 days after starting on Lyrica. I take 100mg twice daily. Give it a try if you're serious about becoming headache free.

three weeks ago the nuro doc started me on a 12 day steroid taper, along with melitonin and lyrcia 75 mg at night. about 8 days into the taper headaches went away. i am still taking the lycria and still headache free. this is my first c/h experience that started 9 months ago. i think lycria is working for me.

I might as well try Lyrica, as Topamax is not doing the trick and new neuro appointment is still 8 weeks away... Do I taper down the T/max whilst at the same time ramp up on Lyrica ? Thoughts?
