Do you have the "squeaky eye"?

I have air and/or fluid behind my ch eye that "squeaks" and "crunches" when I press on it. Sometimes I can squeak it over and over, sometimes just once, then I "refill" it by popping my ears, and sometimes it won't squeak at all. Squeaking and refilling are often a somewhat effective technique of easing pain for me, and when it quits squeaking is normally a very bad sign of serious pain to come. Does anyone else have this "condition"?

No. You are just weird. JUST KIDDING! I have, a few times gotten what I call "squishy eye". Feels like fluid build up behind the eye, as you described. Not an everytime (in fact more rare than not) event with my CH. When it does happen, it always affects the side/eye hit.....which always is right for me. I am not sure if it's the same thing you are referring to. I also get what I call "crackles" in my neck with CH. At the base of the skull/neck area.

I think I know what you mean. Everyone has had a little squish a few times but probably never thought much about it. I suppose it still exists. At 57 I spend all my time trying to compensate for all the wear and tear on my other systems. Damn CH makes us too aware sometimes...... Stick around and let us know how you're doing. You'll find a ton of good ideas here for dealing with this horror. Charlie

Sounds like a sinus problem to me, I get that same squeaky eye when I have congested sinuses. Before I was diagnosed I always had these really bad headaches, I called them killer, when I had a sinus infection, then I had my first Kip10 with clear sinus, and I finally got the right diagnoses. Treat with steam, antihistamines, decongestives, and hot packs. I have had my first sinus problem in a while, my CH had switched sides but for some reason my sinuses triggered a CH on the other side, they were unabortable and they lasted for 3 hours, I aggressively treated my sinuses both the squeaky eye and the triggered CH's are gone. I am sincerely hoping that squeaky eyes and Yam bags aren't something that you eventually get after many years of CH. I have enough problems as it is. Has anyone tried the AFDB for the squeaky eyes? What about a AFDJS for the squeaky Yam bags?

| Thomas, AFDB is Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie. So AFDJS must be Aluminum Foil Deflector Jock Strap.

YES!!! Someone else in this world does have a "squeaky eye" besides me! My squeaky eye has been there for 20 plus years and only on the left side.....same side as CH. Are you referring to right up in the corner of the eye by the tear ducts? That's where mine squeaks!

| I can squeek it from all different angles, but a few times I could swear I made it squirt liquid or fart air... I saw this guy on "more than human" the other night that didn't have a certain valve in his tear drainage ducts, and could suck fluid up his nose and squirt it out his eye, across the room. I was just thinking that kid is just asking to get clusters!
