Meds Master Data File Needed

Hi All: I am on a quest for a pharmaceutical data file in a format that can be imported into Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, SQL, etc. The format could be comma or tab delimited, fixed-length fields in table or text form. Media format can be CD, Internet download, 4mm-DAT or DLT type III or IV tapes. If the media is tape, compatibility will work with Windows (Arcserve for Win2K) and Unix. My Internet searches to date have provided hundreds of RX lists and software applications for purchase. However, I am looking only for the raw RX data across ALL pharm. companies. If anyone knows of the existence of such data or where to procure [yes, I will consider payout for this list if that is the only way] a list from, I would appreciate such information. Post, or if you prefer, forward any leads to hadenuff@kdlltd.com. Example of comma-delimited data file for import: EFFEXOR XR,VENLAFAXINE HCL,75MG,CAP,MFG-WYETH PHARM,NDC 0163-0849-02 EFFEXOR XR,VENLAFAXINE HCL,150MG,CAP,MFG-WYETH PHARM, NDC 0163-0848-02 IMITREX,SUMATRIPTAN SUCCINATE, 6MG, SC,,MFG:, TOPOMAX,TOPIRAMATE,25MG,TAB,MFG: ORTHO-MCNEIL,MAX DOSE: 600MG PER 24HR PERIOD TOPOMAX,TOPIRAMATE,50MG,TAB,MFG: ORTHO-MCNEIL,MAX DOSE: 600MG PER 24HR PERIOD End of example data……………. As you can see from the very small sample above, failure to secure this information in electronic format will be cause to endure countless hours of hand-keying data. And for those of you with whom I have had chat sessions, you know my typing abilities, or great lack thereof. This typing malady will add greatly to the time and effort involved to achieve my goal. Many thanks, peace and PFDAN's, -dan

Dan: As an (unemployed) computer pro, that has extensive experience in the data import/export field, I know what you are talking about, and feel your pain... Also, in the two months that I've been out of work I've taken on a couple of projects-one was to take a friends listing of his nearly 1000 CD's in a word document and convert it to an Access database-he had cross referneces for where he got his CD's from and who he gave copies to..., and 2) I'm trying to start a couple of business so I've copied A LOT of data from the super pages to create some target lists of business I want to contact to try and get some work from. If you can get data in ANY type of text format, as ugly as it might be, I can work with it and get it to a database format. We can discuss details privately if you want: Ed_Ardzinski@Hotmail.com
