Quote:Congratulations, Melissa! Your IQ score is 118 We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is an Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results. |
| I am a left brainer and not that book smart, always have been. We've done these before here and even though some probably are not accurate, they are fun to do and a nice ego boost! LOL Hey, you took the boredom out of my morning. mel

Quote:Your IQ score is 126 This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others. Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results. |
| i went back thru and found a couple of errors I made. I still can't figure out the one where they each drive 6 miles in opposite directions and each turn left and drive 8 miles further. would appear to me that they are no 28 miles apart but that is not a choice in the test! Can anyone help me out on this one? renee

I completely guessed on that one, based on the way logic works in my mind (that's a scary place to go hehe) I answered at 14 (8+6) sticking to the rule that when something is worded to be complicated go back to the KISS rule... Like I said, I guessed (I did try to work it out but came up with a couple of different possibles based on different variables in the problem) I have no idea if that's the right answer or not, probably not hehe. I've always maintained IQ tests measure how good you are at taking tests, not how smart you are Cat

Don't feel stupid Mel, those tests are only 'practice' genuine IQ tests must be done under supervised conditions and generally take 2+ hours. They are then converted into percentiles so that the various differents tests can be compared to a score. My father was Mensa qualified and couldn't be bothered to give them the time of day, his attitude was they were a bunch of stuffed shirts who knew mostly academia and not real world. You can have the iq of a genius, and the common sense of a door knob Cat

One error message reporting and seveeral spams later I got a whopping 113 score which according to the test people means: Word Warrior. This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take an unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas. And that's just a small part of what we know about you from your test results. That was jus a smart way of sayin I am dumb Pam

28 miles apart is correct in one sense - if one of the cars retraced its' route back to the start and then followed the route the other took, it would be ((2*6)+(2*8)) miles, or 28. But if a helicopter took a straight line from one car to the other when they separated, it would be sqrt((12*12)+(8*8)) or 20. And both of these answers are actually wrong, because the Earth is a sphere, not a flat plane. The great circle route between two points is somewhat longer than the straight line answer that was the 'correct' answer. So much for their test!! Geographers Rule the Earth!!

I scored 136. "Your Intellectual Type is Facts Curator. This means you are highly intelligent and have picked up an impressive and unique collection of facts and figures over the years. You've got a remarkable vocabulary and exceptional math skills — which puts you in the same class as brainiacs like Bill Gates. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results. Geometry answer: The square of the (diaganol) = the square root of the sum of the squares of the two right angles. A2 + B2 equals C2 so (6+6)2 + (8+8)2 = answer2 yielding 122 + 162 = answer2 144 + 256 = answer2 400 = answer2 square root (400) = answer = 20 [I flubbed the kb here... oops] http://java.sun.com/applets/archive/beta/Pythagoras/

Congratulations, Kenn! Your IQ score is 140 This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Tickle's Classic IQ test. Your IQ score is scientifically accurate; to read more about the science behind our IQ test, click here. During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We analyzed how you did on each of those questions which reveals how your brain uniquely works. We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test. According to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is a Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. Like Plato, your exceptional math and verbal skills make you very adept at explaining things to others — and at anticipating and predicting patterns. And that's just some of what we know about you from your IQ results. If this doesn't prove that the test is broken... Nothin' does. PFDAN................................. Drk^Angel

131, ya right or I must be coming out of cycle, an easier way is to remember that the ratio of a right triangle is 3, 4, 5 so that means 6 x 8 = 10 which makes the cars 20 apart. Fubar, isn't it trigonometry Opus/Paul

Wow! I scored 142 It says I have an unusually large penis and the chicks dig me. Oh shit, wrong test.LMAO The answer to the car question without viewing it is 20 miles. A squared + B squared =C squared hence 6x6=36 (Side A) hence 8x8=64 (Side B) hence 36+64=100 or 10 squared And 10+10=20 Seeya, Jimbo
