I have had clusters since 1992.  Episodic, ususally have my cycles in the fall.  Have skipped 2 cycles, since they started.  Cycles last about 3 months  4-8 ch per day.  Have been pf now for 3 months.  Have lurked around since 1999, just decided to put my oar in the water in 2003.

Hello Newbies, Norm here, 39 clusters since I was 18, I usually get hit every fall for 2 to 3 months, I have missed a few cycles over the years and one time I went 3 years pain free. I found that Imitrex injections work well for me, along with Verlin pm as a prevent. Last cycle I used Amerge and it worked very well.

Welcome, Hang in there, we're stronger then the beast, we will win this fight.

Just take it one day at a time, pretty soon the'll be gone.

Hello Newbies,

I'm a 37 year old female who has clusters since the age of 19.  I was episodic for the first 13 years, and chronic for the past 5.

Welcome to all the new folks!

I am pretty new to clusters...first got them this past fall.  However, not new to headaches.  I've had migraines since the age of 8, and a chronic daily headache condition since age 20.  I'm a 23 year old female.

Welcome to all.  I try to greet each of you, but if I missed I'm doing it now! Grin

I'm 49, and have had these things for about 25 yrs.  I was episodic until March of last year.  Chronic since then.

This site has been a life saver for me.  I have been able to find a way to handle this mess finally, plus have met some really wonderful caring people here.  We have become a family that is some times raucous, crass, feisty, but alway supportive and caring for those who need it.  Please take the time to read enough of what is written to understand a context and a person's personality before making a judgement.  I say that only because a few people have misconstrued something that was said and left without taking the time to understand what was being said and what was behind it.  You cannot find a more caring group anywhere.

Hi peeps...

I guess you've come to the right place.....lotta people here that feel what you feel......sounds wierd huh...but its true.

I've been Clusterin since 1980, was Chronic for over 10 then had a three year break (reasons unknown but not complaining) and have been episodic since....Sping and Fall, lasting hopefully six weeks.

Lots of info for you guys around here to help educate yourselves so look around and get comphy, nobody's left yet.

And most importantly jonny is King here and he is a "PRICK" so do what he says and give him your lunch money everyday and he'll leave you alone. Thats what I do and he likes me nowGrin

If you need us we'll leave the light on for ya Grin

PFDAN to all.

Hi,
Everyone I am new to the board and am currently in a cycle. I am 38 years old and have gotten these horrible HA since I was 8 years old. Right now I am on lithum (300mgx3 a day and 375mgx3 a day of naprosyn) also my nero put me on a 6day prednesone taper. It usually works but not this time. Also I am taking imitrex injections to abort. I was getting day and night HA now just 2 a night. I am thinking of trying melatonin but am not sure. Any thoughts???
Thanks.
