Hate to say it guys and gals but we did have a very STRONG showing from Wisconsin / Chicagoland Area. I believe the second strongest showing was from TX?!? I vote Milwaukee, not just due to convienience but due to its central location to Chicago and Wisconsin. Oh yeah, Davenport is only about 3.5 hours away also. Just my 2c jmin

Milwaukee is the hup for Midwest express "the best care in the air" My son has flown non stop from Dallas on both Midwest and American. Chicago on the other hand is always more affordable but getting around is much more difficult (traffic). Seems to me if you plan it, they will come is the order of the day. I personally like the idea of a Midwest gathering in Vegas....Talk about cheap flights and hotel!!! jmin

Hey jmin......check out the Hilton Milwaukee River Hotel. Rooms overlook the river.....patios in the rooms. Has a bar, and restaurant. Do ya know anything about it? Is it nice? Could be a good location for 2005 I can get a non-stop flight from Houston to Milwaukee on Continental Airlines. Midwest has a layover in Dallas. And....Continental is much cheaper than Midwest. Only 1/3 of the cost of Midwest. Room rates seem pretty reasonable too. Whatcha think Jean p.s. Tell Libby hi for me!!!!!

Midwest has service to Milwaukee but not from a lot of cities. Midwest has been hit hard by the airline struggle. Milwaukee is fine for this Michigander too. I don't know, Chicago hotels can be a bit pricey, the city holds a lot of conventions, if there is one or possibly even two other conventions at the same time, that may limit options. Chicago makes Detroit look like Kalamazoo. Huge, great city, I'd take a couple extra days. Either would be fine. Cheap flights from Detroit to Chicago, but that ferry thing sounds cool to Milwaukee, never did it CHMess. Is Milwaukee not the home of Miller beer and Harleys? However summer sounds good though, ferrying across on the ice sounds a bit Titanic to me. Kevin M

How about Kansas City or St. Louis? Being that the meeting is in January, Wisconsin will be colder than heck. Kansas City and St. Louis both have cheap air fares, good entertainment, and you won't beat Kansas City's Barbecue.

The hilton on the river is very nice indeed. Not to mention it is very close to Water Street, wich is the "party street" for downtown Milwaukee. Fun Fact.....Milwaukee has more bars per capita than any other major US city. About 1 bar for every 1600 people. Not to poo poo the St louis idea but weather should not be much of an issue as the majority of travels will most likely take place between the hotel room and Atrium / Porch / wherever. Have to reiterate the strong showing from Wisc , Chicago also. Seems like a nice central location for most. Yes, Milwaukee is the home of Miller and Harley but we do allow other beers into the state. Just be carefull ordering a Bud in a local bar. Might find yourself "swimming" out in the big lake! lol We will need to verify smoking policies with the hilton prior to setting up anything definate. Bar time is 2 AM and offsale stops at 9 PM. jmin

| I like the way you think Rev. Both are easy to get to and the weather's not quite as harsh. With this much notice I could definitely find something that would fit the bill here in STL. Jim

World class ribs.....World class Brats....Tomato....tamato. Seriously, St Lou would be ok by me. We could always have a smaller get together up here for the local folks on top of a larger gathering in Rams country. As far as torture goes I tried to talk y'all into a cluster cruise but noooooooo......we like Iowa! I will sit back and let the inmates run the asylum for now. jmin
