Having a life would be nice too.

But being able to turn it off and on at will would be a nice break from reality also.

I turned mine off, staying at home with son, never see anyone over 3 now except for my husband, and the people in the stores.  It is nice, but gets a little boring sometimes.  It is great when I was in cycle and really needed the time to recuperate everyday.

I think if I were to turn it off, I'd become a sedentary waste.  I need discipline.  I need to hold a job and make myself go thru a daily ritual.

Maybe it's also because the kids are on their own, and my son and grandson don't live with me anymore.

Some days seem like such a waste.  I don't dare miss too many, though.  There aren't that many left.  The years are speeding up with every passing birthday.

I have the opposite problem.  My life seems turned off right now.  Too quiet, nobody around, just me and the 6 month old.  He's not real great on conversation, lots of mumbles and all.  I'm wishing right now some excitement would come into my life.  I thrive off of that.  Can't take being lonely and bored for too long, it makes me depressed and self destructive.   *Sigh*, why can't the stuff that happens in romance novels and movies happen in real life?  (sorry, just daydreaming...)

Boy Mel..........you've been reading my mind.

There must be periods like this in almost everyones life.  My kids have been my whole life for many years and I guess I have that nasty empty nest syndrome.  My son John and his 7 yr old lived with me for 4 years and they moved into their own place 3 months ago.

Prince Charming is not living in my house.  Thank goodness I can come here and have some sort of adult conversation or I would become brain dead.  Things are pretty boring around here, especially with no friends or family close by.  All of my friends lives hours away and so does my family.

Okay, I am getting depressed now.

There are times when I think that I would really love to have my life relax.  But when I do take a day off, I cant sit and relax or sleep or anything. I end up cleaning the house or doing anything. So I think that maybe I too strive off the stress that I wish would leave.

At some point we will have vacation time off together and maybe then I will relax for a few days.  /shrug Still think I would get bored...  Roll Eyes

I'm afraid you'll have to hide that ugly cat if you want a Princess to notice you.  He gets all the attention...all the ohhh's and ahhhh's because he's such a mess. Spider hole my foot.  Looks more like he's that cat that was riding the ceiling fan and let go and smacked the wall.  He looks all wet too.  Scared the wee wee out of him.

Must be a sissy cat on top of all that other stuff.

Hello Hopefull Jean

Wondering where you'd been and how you were! Good to hear from you again.

I am sympathetic! I am back in cycle and it is ramping up daily (and nightly of course).
I would just like a day off and a whole nights sleep and no 4 year olds running around.
Have 3 of them sleeping over tomorrow while their parents are at a funeral, so will have screaming kids from lunchtime onwards.

Think tranquillisers will be needed.

I always want to seclude myself when in cycle, simply because I don't want to affect the quality of life of those around me.  And guys give it up they already know he only lives in romance novels and tv. laugh
