Does anyone know which record of Radiohead's has the song on it with lyrics like "what the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here" etc. It's quite a haunting song, but I cannot find the record anywhere unless I am looking in the wrong place...... Your thoughts????

Lyrics to creep: When you were here before Couldn't look you in the eye You're just like an angel Your skin makes me cry You float like a feather In a beautiful world I wish I was special You're so fucking special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here I don't care if it hurts I want to have control I want a perfect body I want a perfect soul I want you to notice when I'm not around You're so fucking special I wish I was special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell I'm doing here? I don't belong here She's running out again She's running out She runs runs runs Whatever makes you happy Whatever you want You're so fucking special I wish I was special But I'm a creep I'm a weirdo What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here I don't belong here

Jim, Do all of their records have that same "feel" to it as Pablo Honey? I think that song is very good, and I've decided that I need to get some of their stuff. I was drawn to them because I like American Music Club too and they are vaguely similar if that makes sense. That kind of maudlin, haunting stuff.... What does you think?

Biran, Pablo Honey all sounds very similar to creep. There's some slower songs and some rockier sounds, but theentire album is great. It's one of my all time favorites. The newer albums have a much different feel than Pablo Honey. There still good, just very different. Hope this helps. Kris

Yeh. Its a cool song. Sing it at work a lot. Radiohead are often on compilations too like the "Trip" series of CDs. You'd prolly like NZ's Chris Knox too - poet of our times and a totally one man band. Try to find "Beat" and check out the lyrics. "Duck Shaped Pain" and "Gum"(both on same disc) is pretty good too. He's also done "Songs af you and me" and "Yes". There's a coupla short discs too - one's called "Seizure". Real Kiwi flavour there. Check him out. Not everyone's cuppa tea but it does grow on you. firebrix the ex muso who supports Kiwi music too.

For those who like the song and play a litle guitar, here are the chords, very simple song but a goodie. Sounds better played in bar chords rather than triads. Creep ===== By Radiohead G When you were here before B Couldn't look you in the eyes C You look like an angel Cm Your skin makes me cry G You float like a feather B In a beautiful weather C I wish I was special Cm You're so fucking special Chorus: G But I'm a creep B I'm a wierdo C What the hell am I doin' here Cm I don't belong here I don't care if it hurts I wanna have control I wanna perfect body I want a perfect soul I want you to notice When I'm not around You're so fuckin' special I wish I was special.... (then something like this...) oooh... she's running away....she's running...run..run...run..ruuuuun Whatever makes you happy Whatever you want You're so fucking special Wish I was special...

I couldn't believe I saw Radiohead as a message subject!! I am a huge fan. All of their albums are great. In fact, I think Radiohead is easily the most creative and interesting band in rock today. The song Creep is and always will be their biggest hit. In fact, if you asked them, I am sure they would say they regret ever writing it for the simple reason that fans always request it at shows. At this point, the song is 11years old and Radiohead certainly feels like they have outgrown it. Their more recent stuff (Kid A and Amneisac) are a lot less accessible but no less brilliant. The album "The Bends" is a must have as is "OK Computer."They have a new album slated for a June release. If you would like to understand the band and life as a rock celebrity, you can rent their DVD " Meeting People is Easy". Want to learn more about them, visit www.ateaseweb.com
