Breach of etiquette

Somehow I missed the recommendation on the "New Visitors" page about introducing oneself to the group. My apologies.
I am a 58 year old male who has had cluster episodes since the Spring of 1986. They used to be all over the place, but they now tend to be night time singletons. Standard treatment has been Eskalith (900 mg) and Calan SR (340 mg) which seems to contain things as long as I do not forget a dose. Generics for both drugs do not seem to be as effective. O2 works if I am awake and can feel the headache's onset; O2 does not work if the headache is a Midnight Night special.
The current episode has been going on since 01/06/03. I think (hope) it is winding down. The neurologist says that I should be "out growing" these episodes soon, but I cannot find where he is getting his documentation.
Again, I apologize for not making a formal introduction. Inspite of the work I do with computers, I have never done message boards or chat rooms before. And, I will NEVER do smileys!
