The notion is soundly rebuked! CH shall not in any fashion or manner be referred to for any reason as a migraine. This is my new favorite website! -Curtis

(Sorry, realised there are two parallel threads here) I know this is a hugely emotive subject on this website. Please be tolerant, until you have a CH attack, if you are a migraine sufferer you genuinely think you suffer terrible pain. It is only when you have a Kip 10 CH that you know that migraine is quite fun in comparison! Speaking for the UK here, don't know if it is the same in the USA or elsewhere. CH used to be called 'Cluster Migraine' here. This causes terrible problems for CH sufferers. The majority of GP's in the Uk are still very, very confused/ignorant and routinely prescribe migraine preventatives and abortives for CH for years, even when the patient shows no sign of responding to them and even when their lives are falling apart (personal experience shows that the most current migraine drugs are really quite superb at dealing with migraine, but f... all use for CH) We just need as much publicity and education in the Uk as we can get so that the medical profession wise up about the different conditions and treatments.

| Hey Wendy fuck face, maybe you would like to see what goes on behind the scenes. CJ, asked me a question and I answered it, NO!!!!, not here in e-mail. And if you havent noticed he asked a question on the board twice, try going to the other thread and see what was written. Anyways heres what I told him about getting 02 without a Doc. CJ Johnson?.....Thats funny, the owner of CH.COM is DJ Johnson. What you need to do is buy a medical regulator (15 LPM) on Ebay and convert it to fit a welding tank or you could call around to some gas houses and see if you can buy a used or rebuilt one. Once you convert it you just go rent a tank of welding 02 and refill it when it gets low. Converting it is simple, all you do is unscrew the medical connection and screw in the welding connection. The connection consists of a CGA-540 nut and a 1/4" NPT stem, you can get those at a gas house (Very important to wrap the stem threads with teflon tape before screwing it in to gaurd against leaks). Dont worry, welding 02 and medical 02 are filled from the same main 02 tank. I own a custom welding shop so I know what im talking about, Hell!!< I use welding 02.....LOL Let me know if you have any questions, i'll be in front of the puter for the next 5 hours drinking beer....LMMFAO!!!!! ................................jonny BTW: NPT= National pipe thread <<<<<Very important you get NPT You not a very nice person Wendy, where the fuck do you get off you BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .....................................jonny

I am feeling neither abused nor will I elect not to return. In fact, the vehemence with which the point is demonstrated encourages me. Often, when I have to explain my CH to someone they respond with something like "Oh, I know how you feel. I get migraines, too." I'm a polite boy, so the easiest thing to do is nod and smile. But I think to myself that I don't think its the same thing. Anywho, I'm pretty thick skinned. And while the best thing about this site (for me)is the information shared and the fellowship, the witty remarks are a lot of fun too. Thank you WendyHowe for considering my feelings, and thank you Jonny for the valuable information. -Curtis

I'm a Meegrainer and a CH victim. When a meegrain hits i pretty much shrug it off and go about my business, yes i might puke, but i wipe my mouth and keep on going. When a CH hits, Oh Sh*t and F*ck me, I'll lay on the floor, kick and scream, bang my head and if you come within my zone you're f*cking dead!!! Mikey ;D

| Yep, me too. When you have both you get to know the difference first hand...and there is a big difference!!!!! It pisses me off when people who have migraines act like they know what I'm going through when I have a cluster headache. That's where the hostility comes from. But I guess it's better to be pissed off then pissed on.   Karen
