New doc 'said'....

Went to the meet 'n greet last nite fer the new doc takein over our old doc's patients (ours is leavein the sate)....we had ta find out if the new doc knew anythin bout CH or go look elsewhere. Stood in line fer hours....new doc was rather pleasant......he said YES he is quite familiar with CH and there is a new med that kills em rite off fast.....me thinks if he is wrong we may have ta kill 'him'.....rite ? (jus jokein....jus jokein)....argh....here we go again !!!!!! I informed him I knew of no such drug....but he asured us....we walked away rather confused on this one.....Pam-the-here-we-go-round-n-round-agin-with-a-new-doc-chick.... (ps: didn't sound like he was all for stayin with the imitrex and wants Brad ta do the new stuff....oh oh) thanks fer listenin ya'll....it's a cruel cruel world !!!

did he happen to say what the new 'stuff' is? IMHO, a doc that seems that sure there is a cure, or something that just knocks them right off, well, he might not know as much about ch's as he thinks!

Coots,
I would give him one shot. (Just make sure you got enough Trex...just in case.) If he hands you something that Brad has tried before or isn't so dang new, walk...no run to another Doctor. Don't let him take Brad off of the Imitrex. Even if he doesn't like using it, he is ethically bound to provide you with a 30 day supply of meds while you look for another Doc.
Remember I said "Ethically Bound" not "Legally Bound", but most Doctors follow this rule.

Hey THANKS guys....no the doc never said what this new med was......we stood in line in this clinic for hours with a full line behind us and several aged folks that were hurtin standin so long...so we drilled the new doc long as we could get away with it and we had ta move on...sorta got crowded out. Drivein me nuts wonderin what gives.....I doubt he knows as much as he thinks either....doubt he has treated many CH'rs "if" any.....but trust me I'll be findin out soon !!! Will keep ya's posted what he comes up with...........Pam-coots

.....Cootie sorry to hear that the visit wasn't as good as it could have been, but if you've got bunions from the long standing well just give me a call...you got my number!!
As for the wonder drug if he's got it then the wait might be a bit longer next time, cos we'll all be in the honking line!!!

No such deal!!!!, No Doc in bum fuck Ohio has the cure for CH and thats a fact.
Not even something better than Imitrex.

Thanks guys.......yeah it worried me when the guy started goin on and on bout new CH new wonder drugs he knew of.....it was jus a brief hand shake and few words deal in line ta meet him.....No official visit......yet......(got any miracle cures fer heel bone spurs Cathy....heh-heh-heh...ouch....Brad has em) Pam-the-new-doc-sceptic
