???OK I went to the DR's and he gave me ...
Lithium 300mg to take 1 cap a day increase to 3 times a day after 3 days.
Cafergot take 2 tabletsby mouth every day then 1 tabletevery 40 minuts max 6 pera
Hydroxyzine HCL 25 mg to take 1 tablet every 6 hoursas needed.
does this sound right to anyone because I am very confused. I am very afraid of Lithium it just sounds scary
If anyone has taken this stuff before please help me.

Eileen,
I dont know about the other two but dont be scared to take the Lithium, I have been taking 600 mgs everyday for over 12 years and find there are almost no side effects.
If Lithium dont jive with you you can always taper off with no harm, if I were you I would at least give it a try.....it stops 80% of my chronic headaches from ever coming.
Ramping up from 300 to 900 in three days sounds kinda fast to me (But im no Doc), might want to call your Doc and ask him if thats what he meant.
