Dear French and German haters. I can't believe anyone actually wants this war unless they are unhinged. We Brits don't want it any more than the French, but we know from our own history that no-one can afford to leave terrorists unchallenged. That road leads to the end of civilisation. The USA has historically been sometimes less than supportive of the UK's own fight against terrorism. This is not meant as an attack on the people from the USA on this site, just meant to make people realise that some countries take longer to rise up and support others. I could go on about WW11 here. I believe that the rest of Europe will catch up with the USA and the UK and will become involved. Attacking French and Germans doesn't help. Thanks to the adjudicator on this site, an atttack on the British was removed. It incensed me. 1st Grade lesson in diplomacy and International relations says 'don't attack your main ally'. Tony Blair is in real trouble at the moment as the anti-war movement here is gaining in strength daily. If you want more allies, or to keep your existing ones, please, please lay off the xenophobia!

first of all the obvious... either would not have a country without us, second...we're not even asking for their support, just a non-veto would do. third...they obviouly have something to hide like dealings with saddam, as soon as we go in we'll find out the truth! ties should be severed with all the so called allies, fight you own battles & as soon as they're in trouble we'll bail they're asses out once again. ...........2late

2late I really, really don't understand why you are attacking. We lost a lot of people too and our whole country mourned for your dead as well, we are on your side. I think I'd better go now as I really don't want to invite any more bad feeling

Jonny Of course I wanted support. That was how I found this site in the first place. I was looking for help. I can't prove this of course, but I have been registered on this site for a while now. I just wanted to know why suddenly you asked whether I was a CH sufferer.

I have obviously been deluded. I came to this site first time to get help getting a proper diagnosis and the right drugs. Most of the replies I got then (not all) were intent on trying to get rid of me just in case I wasn't a member of the 'CH club' and was just one of those 'pathetic migraine sufferers'. I regret my post this evening (sorry 2late- didn't mean to inflame you, I really meant to try and say that not everyone is against the USA, you do have friends and allies) I really don't think I deserve being called an not a very nice person and I find it hard to see how I could possibly feel that this is a site where I can come for support or help when all people do is try and drive you away. OK, I'm just a pathetic wimp but I can't take the treatment you dish out here. I'd rather be alone with my clusters than this. Sorry for wasting precious webspace.

Hi Wendy - good to hear from you again. I see you've already re-introduced yourself to some of the others....... I hope the beast has been leaving you alone. (ass hole is one of those words that gets changed if you put it together. There are a few others, but not many.) I was reading an interview Tony Blair gave a bit ago. What a stand up guy. I really like him and hope the loss of support in the UK doesn't mean he loses his job. It is important that we have allies like him. PFDANs to you domm

Thanks guys. Sorry haven't replied sooner (different time zone) Luckily for those who support the war, Tony Blair has no credible opposition in this country, so unless his own party turns on him, he should stay in power and support for the USA should remain. He's either a brave man or a stupid one, as this overt 'standing up' with Bush could cost him his political career. War's make or break leaders since time immemorial, Maggie Thatcher was made more powerful by the Falklands conflict. Maybe Tony Blair and George Bush will find the same Lovely to get a civilised message guys Bye,PFDANS Wendy

Wendy... There are many Americans who share your same idealology, and are not intent on going to war. I for one, who have served in War, do not want this, right now...and I emphasize the "right now". Because it may have to be done sooner or later. I also understand how Britain is affected almost everyday with terrorism. There is no reason to leave, everyone has a view of the perfect world. The only problem is they don't always match. Welcome back... Jim

| Hi Wendy...firstly HI and WELCOME I am also British and I don't like to get involved in all of this either....but involved we are. However I for one would like to think that no matter who was in power that support for the USA would always be there, although I did not vote Labour!! I think Tony Blair is a very brave man because yes he is supporting the USA against public opinion but I for one back him 100%, if he loses his political career it'll be because he's an ass hole...in his own right. As for Margaret Thatcher I don't think she became more powerful because of the Falklands War she became powerful because she was an excellent Prime Minister! Okay thats my twopennith worth... Wishing you PFDAN's Wendy and hope you stick around. Cathy

Hello all, thanks for the back-up. Don't feel so 'singled out' now! I thank you for reasonable posts. I am absolutely for disagreement (don't agree about Maggie for example but so what!). That is where ideas come from and better ways of doing things (including new ideas for CH) I really don't have a problem with people not sharing my views, and I am not on and don't need prozac. It's just that the right to free speech and debate, so important to everyone here I personally do not interpret as being the right to abuse other people. People may be in terrible pain which makes us all behave badly sometimes when the Ch gets too much to take, but I can't accept in person or in electronic writing. A personal view here I know, but posts which disagree, clarify, question, challenge etc etc are brilliant. Posts which personally abuse individuals I think should be removed and the individuals warned to stop. It makes people like me (and I am no shrinking violet) frightened to use the site, and surely that is the opposite of what a support website wants.????
