Great post jonny My uncle died in WWll age 20 MY son went to Kosovo when he was in the air force to free the Albanians from the Serbs. And how about that girl basketball player from manhattenville college turning her back on the American Flag. What the fuck is going on in this country. Come on people get on board and support our young men and women who put there lives on the line every day for your FREEDOM.

I don't know who this was you posted the back-and-forth e-mails from but whoever it is apparently has a hard time following a conversation since he/she's talking about being tired of hearing/reading us saying things that none of us actually ever said. So, maybe he/she should go back and reread the posts and debates. But, if it's a case of just wishing we were saying those things so this person can get emotional about it and take on a personal tone to it all, I have no suggestions I'll state.

Desert Storm Vet's View: The picture below was taken in Bahrain in December of 1990. It's kinda of hard to make out, but it's a local Bahrainian car that says "Support Desert Storm & Free Kuwait" It shows the World's togetherness for Desert Storm due to the invasion of a weak neighbor. Right now, we do not have that support. G. Bush is looked upon as some trigger-happy cowboy. I support my troops anywhere. I love my Country. But that does not mean I feel that an all out Conventional war with Iraq, at least at this point, is the way to go. This isn't un-patriotic. Saddam has to go, but there are far better means of making that happen. We do not have to sacrifice hundreds or thousands of lives for that end. Hell...we already tried to oust him through war, and he's still in power. So please do not tell this Veteran that because I don't support GW's plan...that I don't support my brothers & sisters in the Military. Jim

I stand against this war. I've been hated and spit on and billy clubbed in this country for my stance against hatred and prejudice and violence. I'm in good company. It goes with the territory. Freedom IS free. Comes from the heart...not the sword. I have avoided any political debates at CH.com for my 3 1/2 years here. There have actually been very few. I realize that the dark powers in fact use the innocents to kill the innocents. This is just one more time that our souls are being tested to see which side of the line we stand on. It's a daily personal thing. This war just gets more press. True...I choose this side out of cowardice...because I'm afraid to loose my soul. Stop This War love den

Rumpelstiltskin I can't believe anyone actually wants this war unless they are unhinged. We Brits don't want it any more than the French, but we know from our own history that no-one can afford to leave terrorists unchallenged. That road leads to the end of civilisation. The USA has historically been sometimes less than supportive of the UK's own fight against terrorism. This is not meant as an attack on the people from the USA on this site, just meant to make people realise that some countries take longer to rise up and support others. I could go on about WW11 here. I believe that the rest of Europe will catch up with the USA and the UK and will become involved. Attacking French and Germans doesn't help. Thanks to the adjudicator on this site, an atttack on the British was removed. It incensed me. 1st Grade lesson in diplomacy and International relations says 'don't attack your main ally'. Tony Blair is in real trouble at the moment as the anti-war movement here is gaining in strength daily. If you want more allies, or to keep your existing ones, lay off the xenophobia!
