well we came from the doc's, all she really did was up the dose on his pain meds,, then i gave her all the info I found here, starting him on a steroid series again, and gonna see if our insurance will pay for botox script,,(think i should cross every finger and toe I have? ) lol he isint too keen on the idea of paralizing part of his head, but hey,, if it works it will be worth it , and if not , at least his wrinkles will be gone (right?) if anyone else wants to email me what PREVENTIVE meds their doc, has tried , would be so grateful, i read a post about someone being around their son while he was doing his floor,,hubbie usto install carpet, and lino.. ceramic tile,, we noticed that the glue he used really brought on his headaches, got me thinking, if he layed it for 17 years , If thats how long it will take to get it out of his system, well everyone , im off to dream land,,hopefully it will be a headache free night,,and soon a break from the monster inside his head ,, well wishes to all.........

sweet - I use Verapamil as a preventative. Oxygen and Imitrex as abortives until the Verap made them unneeded. Good luck in finding the right set of stuff that works for you and yours PFDANs domm

sweet_mystic, Just though I'd give you my 2 cents worth. My Doc started me on Neurontin this cycle, it seemed to work fairly well. Although it didn't end my CH, it did seem to lessen the severity. Most here have not had the best of luck with Neurontin. Like Domm it seems most here have had better luck with Verapamil. Good Luck - Hope the beast gets better for you guys! Parrothead-Mark

Honey, I know all of us are grabbing at straws here... If carpet glue could have brought on clusters I would have had them years ago! I just didn't until I was over 50. No, it is a totally unregulated neurological problem in our brains.
