I know it said I should read some of the post , so i clicked through some,,i hate to say it, but it is nice to know there are other cluster head's out there, i think my hubbie is the only one where we live, in P.A. , he has had headaches for over 10 years now, they classify him as a cluster , rebound and migraine,,cronic,,i know him as in alot of pain, mostly everyday. he has been in his series for the past 3 weeks , many trips to the E.R. starting to feel like our second home, ok, here is my question,, he has been on almost all the meds mentioned , they now have him on neurotin 800 mg 3 X's daily, dont seem to help, he has been on it for 1 1/2 years,, they give him 4mg diludid, and aqutic 600mcg. but as it happens they only take 40% of headaches away,, my question is,, what else could I suggest to the doc, to try, they took sancert off the market here, that seemed to work, but damn those drug companys anyway, it's gone. i spoke to some nice ppls. in the chat room the other night , 1 spoke of a med . h2 10 or something,,we gust got back from the e.r. so i was tired and didnt write it down, silly me, but anyway,, would a few of ya'll type me some info if ya have time , i would just love ya to death if ya could , id like my children to see theie daddy not in pain for a change,,ty much,

Sweet did he ever try Imitrex Injection kills my ch in about 10 mins using the imitrex tip on the left side of the board

Hi Sweet, I'm TerryS and I have had clusters for about 31 years and Migraines most of my life. I just had my 2nd MRI and am on my 3rd Neuro. This new Neuro, she very nice. She has me on Verapamil 360mg, Naproxen 550mg and Zomig 5mg. So far so good,but I haven't had a real cluster since March 10th of last year just a lot of shadows.

morning to all , Im sad to say he has been on verapimil. ergot, steroids, nasal spray, and imitrex, the only thing that seemed to help was the imitrex, but he started to have reactions to it, made him start having seziures, after he had one while driving the express way and going over a 60 foot embankment, i refuse to let him even take one shot , we are travling to pitts. today . mabe some of the info I printed out will help his doc . with a new med to try,,ty for all the replys,,ill be back later
