Another virus warning

Just received this at work.

To:  All Employees

(S-co is aware of a new virus and has blocked it from coming into the S-co mail system. This message is to warn you how it would appear if you receive it in your personal e-mail system or on your home computer).

The new virus is known as the "Lirva" or "Avril Lavigne" virus, officially named"32/Lirva.gen@MM." This virus exploits various Microsoft vulnerabilities and although it is blocked from entering the S-co computing network, employees who use an outside e-mail provider (such as AOL, MSN, Yahoo, etc.) for their home e-mail may be vulnerable.

This virus is especially difficult to identify and prevent, since it arrives in an e-mail with a random subject line and a randomly named attachment. The attachment often contains an "executable" (.exe) file extension (example: download.exe). The virus can be launched by double clicking the attachment. Once it infects a computer, the virus mails itself to addresses found in the owner's address book and then tries to spread.

Recipients of this virus receive an e-mail with the following subject, body text and attachments:

Subject:  It varies, since the virus can randomly create text.

Body:  It varies, since the virus can randomly create text.

Attachment: Look for these types of attachments: .exe attachments

To help prevent the virus on your HOME computer, be sure to have the latest version of whatever virus protection software you use. It is recommended that you use virus protection software to scan any e-mail attachments which have double extensions or that match the types listed above.

3 and half hours and I'm off. Going to Vegas then.
I'd like to go to the Detroit Auto Show and get a Dodge Tomahawk.
