Does this happen to anyone else??

Hello- I was wondering about 2 things that happen to me and was wondering if anyone else has a similar experiences? First- 99% my CH's only come at night when I am asleep-they wake me up suddenly, but often I think I hear a sound at the moment it hits. Its hard to describe, but in my mind it sounds like "Doink". Second-if I open my eyes too quick in the early morning, it can set off a CH. This generally only happens if I wake up when it is dark??? OK-I know this sounds odd...but no wierder than it sounded to me when I kept telling doctors about the symptoms I was having before I knew it was CH's. Only you guys might understand what I am talking about? Or is this indiginous to my CH's?? Jabeen ??? ??? ???

Jabeen - sorry, not me. I got hit during the day and while asleep when in cycle and the only noise I hear when I get up is my knees and back cracking and popping. Sounds kinda like that breakfast cereal, you know - snap crackle pop. "doink"? - really? domm

I knew using that "doink" word would be a problem-but I cannot come up with a better description. Its just a strange sudden sound I hear instantaneously as the CH hits. I have debated for months whether or not to put this out there because it sounded weird-but then I figured "what the hell"! I was also curious if opening of the eyes was a "trigger" for anyone? These are the things I wondering if they happened to other clusterheads-some, all, none? This is THE place to go-n'est pas? Jabeen

| 99% at night for me too. For me, its kinda like a white-hot halo that falls over one ear. Sounds like 2 knife-blades going back'n'forth LOUDLY!!! on Jan 10th, 2003, 10:47pm, Jabeen wrote:if I open my eyes too quick in the early morning, it can set off a CH. |

Jabeen, I don't think I've ever heard the noise that you're talking about at the onset but I have had k10's where I thought I could actually hear the pain...very weird.

90% of mine at night. No "doink" but some fascinating dream memories. It all happens in REM, would rather have had the zzzzzz's.
