Brain Tumor found....

I just heard on the news that Ted Kennedy has a brain tumor. The seizure he had was caused by that. I was joking the other day when they rushed him to the hospital, but now I think some prayers are in order. No matter how any of us feel about him - we wouldn't wish this on anyone. Hugs BD

OMG... My family has been through that - twice. My father died because of it, so did my uncle. Watching my dad fighting his fight against glioblastoma and then lose made me feel compassion for anyone who suffers brain tumor for life. Sanna

For some reason I had a feeling it was a brain tumor...seizures out of the blue, otherwise healthy. In either case, it's very sad. Aren't some brain tumors operable though? Langa

Very sad for his family. A brain tumor only took 2 months to take my oldest friend Bill who was like a dad to me. Don't count him out yet though, he's one tough bastard.

Langa, it depends where the tumor is located. In my dad's case, the tumor was removed, but it grew back quickly. He was gone in six months. My uncle's tumor located in too severe place to be operated, which made it more dangerous than its gradus would have. He fought 3 years and lost. Sanna

They just announced it's malignant and he's gonna have to undergo chemo and radiation, but haven't said anything about surgery. Heck, they're already doing an obit on him. His family has gone thru so much. He may not be the best liked person in the world, but I feel for his family ... they've lost so many. Some of us "OLD" people can still remember him as a wet nosed little kid when his brother was elected President back in 1960 (he was only 30 then). BD

My sisters husband developed a brain tumor at age 22. She was a widow with a 2 daughter years old when he died. His was operated on, but they couldn't get it all, and he started having seizures, headaches and later, with loss of memory and coordination of the legs. He had a second surgery 2 years to the day later, but lived only three days after that. It's a hard way to go, as are most cancers. Sorry for Ted and the other Kennedys.

When I heard the news at first I felt a little satisfaction, but then it was as if God slapped me up the side of my head. I've been praying for him since. He and I are poles apart politically and morally, but he is still one of God's creations that He loves, and it is not for me to judge. There are probably some that feel similarly about me. Jerry

Sorry to say it, maybe it's because I'm feeling like a hard ass tonight, but I know of a lot more families out there who've had it worse than the Kennedy's. Yeah it sucks, but it happens to many people. What about them? You don't see their names in the news, but they're just as important.

The Kennedys never do it simply. It's a hell of a strange history. Hope they can do something. Charlie
