Anybody ever wanted to own a timeshare?

I have a timeshare property in Lake Tahoe. It's actually a very nice place, the Stardust. It is a one bedroom, with a kitchen. Accommodates 4 people. It is one block from all of the casinos and directly across the street from the chair lift to Heavenly Valley ski resort. I own one week in 'red' or 'high' season (pretty much every week except the weeks of Christmas and New Year's). The maintenance fees for this place are $610 per year. I'm willing to give this away to anyone who wants it. If anyone is interested, please email me. The fees for 2008 are paid up and the week is not used yet, so that's a free vacation right there! I've owned this place for over 20 years, and it is not a 'scam' timeshare like most. I've been very happy there but I just won't be able to use it much now that I'm moving to Boston. It is fully deeded and paid for. -Shawn

Sure, now that I'm moving to Austin sooner than you move to Boston - you pop up with this offer! Heavenly is where I really learned to how to race (GS) back in 71-72. (That's when I used to "bounce" instead of "stick" when I went down. ) Hoping someone within driving distance see's the value in that gorgeous area! Marc

Shawn, That's God's country! Sure you wouldn't need to visit the West Coast occasionally? Lovely spot for skiiing, boating, biking,,,,,,,,,,,GAMBLING..... Anywhoo, a partial ownership, in MY opinion, is far better than a timeshare at this point...especially one that has stood the test of time. I see a Meet n Greet in someone's future..........twist my arm, I'll go to Tahoe any ole time!! Cathi

Sure, after I've gone in hock up to my eyes to buy some dirt & pine trees just north of there. Sorry you have to give it up.

I've had my share of fun there, and I am on a mission this year to give away practically everything I own (just ask a few folks here!) Somebody else will enjoy it far more than I would enjoy hoarding it.

Pegg, that is *exactly* what I'm talking about... you enjoyed those miles far more than I ever would have. I totally forgot about that, so that illustrates how important those miles were to me. I'm glad you got to go. I think I paid for someones conference that year too...

Yep, Shawn took pity on me having a broken camera for over two years (I think he got sick of me crying about it) Last week I got me a slightly used Olympus C-5000, 5.0 megapixle, 12X zoom kickass camera and charger.....the prick was to cheap to throw in the cord for the charger.......LMMFAO!!! Thanks, Shawn.....the way I see it is...with six bucks I will be back in the game and everyone can blame you for the pictures I post....LOL Thanks, bud!

If you need a cord I'll send one tomorrow Jonny. It just didn't fit in that box and is a standard cord, I figured you'd have one laying around.
