So after having a week like I did...doesn't my computer (newish laptop 1 year old) it over heated and the video card went and cooked the motherboard... It was an Acer 5100 I had about 2 thousand dollars worth of programs in it all art, graphic etc. related.  I just finished paying for it on my circuit city credit card anddddddddd the waranty is up... Though this problem is common I found others on the web that had the same problem with the same computer, Acer won't do anything for us...

bummer city... Don't buy any Acer laptops and if you have one extend the warranty on line... I didnt because the one that circuit city offered me was so expensive.

Ree who is lost without her laptop..........

Ree.....

Your software and files should still be on the hard drive. Any good PC tech should be able to recover all the contents of your HD.
