Funny you mention Beer....
I have what is probably the most important presentation of my career with this company tomorrow morning. And to of all places, the Local Brewery. They are producing a commemorative beer can for the City's 150th anniversary next month and the fit for the project that was finalized this afternoon couldn't be more perfect.
It's not the "biggest" money sale I'll make, but the idea was my brain child to start with, and when I told my boss that I wanted to target this customer for this she finally gave up certain information which I could have used for months, she told me this afternoon and I looked her in the eye and said that keeping this info from me was shooting me in the foot to start with I could have been helping them put a plan together that would have brought in months of revenue.
So I got her to agree to let me pitch this to the brewery before we open the project to the entire sales team.
Hell I even came up with the circulation promotion for this and I'm not in the circulation department. I came up with 3/4 of the ideas for the parade partisipation.
(trust me when I say some people really aren't very creativein how to put something together)
Anyway...tomorrow is going to be one hell of a day, and then I took a 4 day weekend so I'm off work Thur-Sun. I need the time to myself to recenter and balance myself. I'm crispy.

This client brought on a new marketing manager at the end of 2007.
After the holidays they have spent ZERO dollars in print advertising. This new manager comes from television, so obviously you know where her loyalties are. But they aren't on TV either, so I don't know what her actual role really is.
This is an opportunity of a lifetime for them. If they don't jump on it, then they crazy.
