I can't believe it is only 39 degrees outside and we had near whiteout conditions for a little while.  Skies are sunny now.  It had better clear up soon so we can go golfing.  Right now with all the rain and snow that we have gotten the courses are just all soggy and too muddy to drive a cart on and to cold and windy to hit the ball. Yesterday Angie and I rode our mountain bikes in shorts and short sleeved cycling shirts and this morning we had to brush the snow off the car, about 3 inches. Sad

Beautiful picture Redd.

It soared to 41 here in western NY today. Pretty sloppy. Waiting for your snow though. No doubt it's on the way.

"Cobblers" to April and May, Helen? This place would be dull without ya.

I didn't take the photo.  Doug, one of our staff photographers did, thats why I credited him.

There are a number of awsome photos in the link to the gallery that he took of the wonderful (cough) storm today.

edit to add: one of my favorites that shows just how unexpected this was.  Even the insects were caught by suprize.

The official tally from this morning's news was 7 inches in some areas of Stevens Point yesterday.   There is still snow on the ground this morning.  Forecast is for 50 degrees this afternoon.

Beautiful picture! Smiley

Back in here it would not be that odd to get some snow in April, but it's been quite a surprise to get nicely warm days already.

We've already had a flake or two of snow in April, Sanna. Like you, warm weather that hit near 20+ degrees was a rarity. May or June can have a flake or two as well.....rare though. It's been a dry April for us. Not good for the green stuff.

I remember some summers in the 1950s being much drier. We often would go for a month or more without having to mow the lawn. You kids will have to take my word for it.  Cool
