I guess that would have cured him of his smoking habit ! He will be too traumatised to ever go for a ciggy break again !

I dunno....

Guy's got a lighter or matches if he's a smoker, so he maybe ought to be able to set off the fire alarm.  That tends to draw some attention.

It's like--what's the last resort if you're lost--starving--in the wilderness?  Set the woods on fire.  You'll get prosecuted, sued, blued, and tatooed...sure...but the helicopters will be there within an hour or so.

41 hours is plenty of time stuck in an elevator to channel one's inner MacGyver.

I don't think we need to go everywhere with power tools--but there's got to be something he could have done besides try the same things over and over again like a gerbil.

Maybe it's just me, but I think if you get yourself in a jam, you figure some way to get yourself out of it.

Waiting to be rescued, bites.

Ah! The foreigners put on such airs
Wearing the tangerine suits
And their harlequin eyes.
The pain they inspire
Draws in harmonica melodies
And the feathers of birds
Which flame up at their touch.
It all comes to light in the sheer
Debonair.
