I know what I like, and I know what I have in the fridge. They are two totally different things.
I have Toohey's Extra Dry and Hahn Premium Dry in the fridge, but prefer a lot of other stuff - Argonaut, anything in the Squire's range does it for me. Porters are magnificent, Stouts can be reeeeeally nice.
I had a couple pints of Beez Neez at the Mullaloo Beach Hotel today - awesome off tap.
Big fan of the now defunct Inchant Brewery. They produced Bullant Beer, Midland (?) Porter, and a few others that were good, tasty beers.
Abny others I should try? I don't mind trying imports - what US beers are any good? British ? Anything?
I need variety. Provide me with variety... !

Widmer Brothers Hefeweisen if you want a girly beer--but it ain't bad if it's the last draw off the keg, and it's got a lot of swirlies and yeast in it.

I wish the medication get called something interesting like Moose Drool instead of something boring like Olanzapine, it would be a lot easier to remember

Hmmm... I wonder if this is the same I grew up on in WA? Think the spelling was Rheinlander and there was 11 oz per stubby bottle. The cheapest available, and as a teen on a lawn mowers budget, my favorite. Yeasty with high carbonation. Ballinger was similar (seem to recall a label that had a logo that looked like pretzels and from NY?).
We also had Lucky Lager, the greenest, gassiest, most barf inducing so-called beer I've ever met. There were little picture puzzles under the cap. Dad drank Schmidts, we (teens) called it "animal beer" (see the can).
The BEST single beer I ever had was fresh out of the tap, right off the production line at the Rainier brewery in Seattle (sadly gone, gone, gone and cryin won't bring it back). That was in 1977 and I still remember it like my first love (Kimmie, or was that Joyce, o-r-r-r-r-r maybe Linda). Naw, it WAS Kimmie Thompson, "she ripped my heart out and stomped that sucker flat". But surely, I digress.
Now that I can afford, I likes me some of that Heineken, Moosehead, Anchor Steam, or most anything from Black Hook...not much lately, beer wakes up the beast-sigh!

We have a microbrewery in Rehoboth Beach Delaware called Dogfish Head.
I try to support my local businesses so we tried some Dogfish Head beer and it was awful. Tasted like a bunch of rotted flower petals with water....ick!

I tend to steer clear of beers that have a picture of the factory on the can - Emu Bitter, Swan Lager and the like. Perhaps it's an avoidance thing but, given the taste, I just don't want to know where they came from.

I generally love stouts but I also like some Belgium Whites and wheat beer. The problem with stouts is they can fill me up very quickly!
Here's my favourites list:
European
+ Hoegaarden White [NED] - a smooth, zesty Belgium White and is my preferred house beer;
+ Orval [BEL] - a Belgium Ale;
+ Belle-vue Kriek [BEL] - a cherry beer;
+ Greene King Abbot Ale [IRE] - a premium bitter;
+ Newcastle Brown Ale [UK] - you guessed it, a Brown Ale;
+ Guinness [UK];
+ Kronenburg [GER].
Heineken is crap here - they are brewed by Carlton. The imported version is apparently much nice.
Asian:
+ Yebisu Black [JAP] - a dark beer, very smooth and warm.
Australian:
+ Gage Roads Malt Lager [WA] - my favourite beer, made by a microbrewery in WA;
+ Gage Roads IPA [WA] - usually don't like IPAs but this one is nice;
+ James Squire Porter;
+ James Squire Amber Ale;
+ Elmar's Kickback [WA] - a wheat beer from a glass microbrewery called Elmars in the Valley;
+ Mash Black [WA] - a stout from MASH, a microbrewery.
Feral Brewery [yet another WA microbrewery] used to do a fantastic beer whose name escapes me. It was the only beer I liked at Feral when I visited - it was 13% alcohol and they would not serve it in a pint due to its strength. Last I checked, it has been discontinued.
I'm very much over Little Creatures brewery, although I do like their Pipsqueak Cider. Of their beers, the only one I like is their pale.
Beez Neez is a good beer; goes down very smooth and is sweet but not cloying. It's not particularly interesting for my taste buds, though. Same with Coopers Pale - very refreshing but it's almost like downing water.
