My 22 yr old son called me from work 2nite @ 7 saying he was having chest pains......(below his sternum and around to his back)his boss called an ambulance, for he was doubled over in pain..............i beat the ambulance to the hospital.........so far they said his ekg was fine, and they are going to run other tests...of course keep him for hours!!!..(and of course he wants to leave!!)...so far, possible gallbladder or pancreas, or maybe just GERD.................i started getting MAJOR shadows @ hosp,and he told me to go home, so i came home and his father is with him.................i am sure he will be fine...............he is basically a healthy kid!....i know all of you are so good with the "vibe thing", so i ask you send my son Keith some of that good stuff..............................thanks soso much

tks all........just had blood drawn & xrays, don't know of "what" ..................his father there! ...........geeeez, it doesnt matter how old they are, they are still your babies......................but they dont get that......................one day..................................

As a mother I totally get what you are feeling for your son. Even all the medical training didnt help me when one of my kids was seriously hurt, I simply fell apart like any other mother ....
With that in mind, I am sending my heartfelt prayers and the strongest healing vibes to your son Keith and a great big hug to yourself.

When you were talking about pain in his sternum I was thinking pleurasy, Pneumonia.
..hope it is nothing serious, but lighting enough candles for you and him and Helen and whoever needs them that I am liable to burn down my house.
Thank God Jim is here to blow them out before I say my last prayer.

Oh Deb, the best bit about clusterville is the love, prayers and vibes here expand to fill cracks wherever needed. I hope your son is okay, I know how much kids can scare the bahoogies out of you, I have three myself! I also know it doesn't matter how old they get, they ARE always our babies. That's one of those mummy facts written in stone I think!
Sending strength to you too because you need us with you just as much as your son does and we can take you both!

keith was discharged last night at midnite.........ruled out pneumonia, heart attack, blood tests fine........of course, did no other tests, eg, sonogram of gallbladder, pancreas etc..............he was told to follow up with doctor today........possible gastro, my feeling is GERD, (I have)........but then again, I AM ONLY HIS MOTHER!......he is not working today and "supposedly" going to doctor................he seemed fine last night when he got in .................thanks for everything........................need to get ready for work...........deb

I hear ya Deb! Went through something very similar with my son (22) and I had to say the same thing. It was tough! They are tough, you want give em a swift kick in the butt sometimes.

Back in the day my Mom told me I would either be in jail or dead before I was 18....... At 45 she use to call me and hint around that she needed a few bucks....LOL
She no longer needs to do that, I just mail out a nice check once a month and I am the favorite son....LMAO (its a family joke)

well...............truth be told................the first thing i wanted to do after keith was rushed to hospital by ambulance, was to POST here...............i just KNEW that i would be supported by all, and get the "unconditional love and support "i needed @ that time.....................and i was not wrong...........no one, and i mean no one, but "us" can understand this...............................also, when i became a mother i knew in my heart, i would be the "best"that i could be...............mind you, i didnt learn that from my mother............  .........................it was, i guess, just "in me", as a person..............(even tho us NEW YORKERS tend to get a bad rap!!!! LOL...................once again, thanks, hugs and love to all of you............................my "other family"....
