That is precisely why I don't take any California loads!!! I've been seeing diesel for anywhere from 3.919 to 4.699. Filled up my pickup last Wednesday at 3.919 in SC and spent $502.02. Wasn't even empty.

I got regular today for $3.47. I was sitting in the car thinking of only a few years ago when i was concerned it was costing me almost $25 to fill up.

That's about how much diesel is going for up here which is driving a lot of the truckers into bankruptcy but so far our gas is a mere $3.70 or so 
as far as our non American friends.....screw em  ...if we lived where they live we could ride our bikes to get from one place to another.......except for the Australians of course and everyone knows that if you leave the strip of land along the ocean the rest of the continent is full of........ummm nothing much so why waste the gas  ....tim

$4.18 us gallon here. $1.10 per liter x 3.8, right? I am not good at conversions, but told to do it this way. Sorry if I am wrong with my math.

When I was in Florida two weeks ago - the gas station across from our hotel had gas for $3.25/gal.
However, we slice it - it's getting damnably expensive to operate vehicles.

In Central NY it is $3.49 / gal reg and ~ $4.30 diesel. I feel bad for the truckers.
It isn't going to get any better folks and the price of food will go up further too. Loaf of bread is now $3. Milk, ~$4 /gal. Lettuce $2 / head

In Western Pa... Regular is $3.49 a gallon here... I filled up my '93 Ford Ranger a few days ago and it cost me about $67.00.
With the right strategy and proper wind conditions... I'll bet I can make this tank of gas last till the end of next December.

I just paid 3.32 @ the cheapest station in town. Going to the grocery store is alot of fun too, seems like my bill is from 2-3 times more than usual. The good news is that I hear that the demand for high end gourmet groceries like $140 bottles of olive oil has actually increased. Go figure.

Massachusetts is still around 3.17- 3.24 regular unleaded... I saw diesel for 4.25 somewhere. We have to do something about this... its killing everyone...
I went food shopping today too and even pasta is up over a buck a box... a can of Campbells soup is 1.20 ish... Whatssssssss up with that... at this rate... when we are elderley we won't be able to eat or go anywhere. Pretty sad.
We just bought a jeep with a 4.0 to replace my v6 SUV.
Dave doesnt drive his awesome truck with the bling... he is driving my Dad's 1996 PLYMOUTH BREEZE... it still has under 30,000 miles in it and is a great commuter car for him... I promise not to complain if Gas goes back to 2.00 and I thought I would never say that... this is crazy coo coo...

I used to like to visit friends out of town, go out of town to try a new restaurant or just take her for a spin thru the park.
Now I do very little of that. I no longer drive to Champaign Ill. (about 40 miles away from here)...I just have the drum shop ship out my stuff and my son has the art store there ship to him as well.
The cost of fuel has made USPS shipping the only way I buy anymore. To drive to the drum shop for a few new drum heads costs 3 or 4 times what it does to simply have it shipped
