Car crash at my corner (bandwidth warning)

I don't have many details on the crash. The story goes that the minivan was pushing the sedan about 80-90 miles per hour down a 35 mph street and lost control.
After the wreck they all took off, but the driver of the van got busted.

OMG! Very lucky no one innocent was hurt or worse being a residential area.
We live on a main road just down from a new Highschool and Sportsplex with pedestrians walking all the time and every once in awhile we hear in this 60km an hour zone vehicles flying past our home so fast we can't believe it.
We have reported this to the police but all they do in set up a radar for a few minutes about once a week. I guess it will take a bad crash like the one in your area to have something done about this.
Camera's might be an answer also.
