I Won an Award!

I just found out a couple of hours ago that I won an award at my hospital for upcoming Nurses' Week. I won the Rising Star award, which recognizes a novice nurse for their commitment to nursing and to excellent patient care.
How cool is that?!?!?!
Not to toot my own horn, but I am really excited about this! I put a lot into my job, and some of you know more than others what that has been like for me in the past year especially. I feel so honored to have been nominated and then to win this award! So excited! 
Just wanted to share a little of the happiness!

Thanks all!!
I actually think that when my clinical nurse specialist nominated me (I believe it was she who nominated me), she wrote about my cluster headaches, chronic migraine, and rheumatoid arthritis as other things I have to deal with on top of being a nurse. So CH got a mention!!
This really was a needed plus! I just feel like my life has a little more worth than I gave it credit for before!
Tomorrow, they are taking my picture on the unit, so I'll have to dig out the "good" scrubs! haha Maybe Jason (my bf) will be a little less mad at me that I did nothing today on my day off in lieu of hearing this good news! We'll see!!
