Sean, I don't know matt. But first of all, you read that message secondhand - I would always take that with a grain of salt. Right now, you have no idea what he is actually thinking. Secondly, the dude posted kind and supportive messages here for years and I know he is friends with alot of you; he should be in the emotional green enough for you folks to let ALOT slide. And frankly, when my friends blow a sprocket I usually just ignore their behavior until they calm down and then pretend like it never happened. We all do it from time to time and life's too short to get hung up on it.
