We have watched last night the movie The Pianist by Roman Polanski, Grate Cinematography…. We did watch it with the kids, which might have been a mistake….. (My thoughts during the film) but it is part of their heritage….. Or? To the film…. I did not know what I was going to see, what I did see is a strong movie…… at times almost (if one can say) surrealistic…. at times I had to turn away…, was it to violent….. don’t know…. just had to turn away…. In retrospective, seems the boys (ages 7 and 10) did see and grasp the brutality and the bigotry presented throughout the film, do they understand it….. I do hope so….. and I hope that it will make them better humans….. And understand the Jewish history in Europe, during the WW2 and the profound haterage and bigotry toward them, toward there ancestors…… As part of history (not to long ago) ….. a personal story of one man….. a story of a nation…. I just have to say…… if you did not see it….. you should…. its just simply cinematography at its best! Micahel
