Pictures from abroad

I mentioned a while back that I worked overseas - thought I'd share some recent photos. This is Haditha dam, it's located to the north of the Al Anbar province in Iraq. This is an area called Naray, it's towards the western end of Afghanistan near the Pakistani border. These were taken at a base deep in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan not far from Pakistan and China. The helicopter is landing in the shallow part of the river. Before anyone asks, no I'm not military I hung up the uniform 2 years ago. I'm just a contractor these days.

It's very beautiful and you can really tell the photo's don't begin to do it justice. You'll have to post more when you can, it's always so nice to see other parts of the world. From me and my kids too - a huge thank you for serving and keeping us all safe. Safe travels Helen

I really wasn't expecting all the thanks, just wanted to show off my rad pictures . But thank you all. I'm pretty safe out in the Al Anbar province, it's being controlled by the Marines so they keep it well policed. I think downtown DC or Baltimore is far more dangerous.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

Please say hello to the Marines of 2/24 in Haditha. My son is serving with them. He says the Al Anbar province is boring, that there is nothing going on over there. Jerry
