I am so mad ! I may scream ! Yuck!

This is how my day went ! To start with.
The people down the street moved out and left all their animals. Two dogs that are best friends males. One is a big dog, and they also left a cat that is going to have kittens. I went down there and they had moved, looked like they left them in a pen made of ply wood, and they dug out. The big one has cuts on its elbows. The little dog is part Manchester Chihuahua . I have taken the dog house to the edge of the woods and put food and water there till they can keep warm and have food. My dogs will not have anything to do with them. They bark and bark. We have tried to get them to take to each other. I can't keep them and it will break my heart to call the pound. Here we don't have a humane society that take in animals they are just starting up. I don't know that anyone would want them The little one is skin and bones he has two different color eyes. The big one is beautiful white with two black eyes. They are so playful. I could just take those people and just whip them good.
The air condition people finally got here at 9 this morning. I had six dogs barking all day and three men working in the house and my brother and I putting up the Tower swing for the grand son. They did not finish the air condition and will be back tomorrow EARLY ! My brother and I did finish the tower, but we didn't get the swing part put on.
Then just as we sat down to eat dinner the house adjuster finally showed up. We won't know anything for a week or so as to what they will fix or what they will cover.
Its a waiting game now. He did say the siding has to be replaced and there is roof damage. The damage to the shed walls. I don't know if that is good or bad.
I know I have been standing and walking and chasing dogs cats and people all day and I am tired and it sounds like tomorrow will be a replay.
Please all pray we need it!

What kind of person would walk away from their animals? I can understand them not being able to provide for them anymore, but to just leave them? Surely they could take them somewhere......even in the next city.

Too bad I don't live closer. My dogs and cats get along with ALL strays. We run a home for unwanted animals. A week here and they're spoiled rotten. I try to find homes for them, but some just want to stay and get attached.
Stories like this just make me sick. People don't need to own pets that are this unresponsible. Just feed them for a while and maybe you're animals will get used to them and accept them as friends.
Try to find homes for them. I hate to see animals go to a shelter where they end up being euthunized (sp).

Hawk I am happy 99.9% of the time. One of the guys working yesterday said he wished he had my spirit.
We are going to cut the yard into with a fence and put the two dogs in there with a dog house until I can find them a home. I will take pictures today and start looking for them homes.
The cat sleeps under the shed. It is going to warm up so she will be ok with food and water. I have to fix her up a place she can have the kittens. I will have her spayed after she has her kittens. Then I can find homes for them all I hope.
Barbara I couldn't take them to the pound.
Living on a dirt road we have people who just dump them.
That is how we got the last dog. I found out the lady up the street found her brother, and found it a home.
All the other work that has to be done to the house, no one has to come inside so my house won't be tore apart.
Looks like we will be putting up fence this week end.
I will post pictures of the dogs and cat when I can.

when Rita was goin to hit Texas, we evacuated with all our pets, we could never have the heart to leave them behind  .
Maybe you can post pics at Craigslist.org at the pets section. Someone who wants a pet will drive there to get it. Good Luck my friend.

That's exactly how Paul has ended up with so many cats. They're all "dumpees". I just don't understand people, I really don't.
It's one of the things I like most about Paul though, his compassion for defenceless animals and it says so much about you too Elaine. None of which comes as a surprise!

You are a kind woman Elaine. I know how much work all the critters can be and it also gets expensive too.
Do you know where your neighbors moved? They really ought to be turned in. Abandoning an anilmal is illegal in many states and the fact they did it once they will do it again.
As Helen said, I get the droppoffs. Many poor folks around the area want a kitten or puppy and then when it isn't so cute anymore they drive by at night stop and toss the animal out on my lawn or come by when I'm at work and put the animals in my barn. Makes me SO mad.

I been crying all afternoon. We feed the cat and the little dog this morning. They had not figured out it was ok for them to be here, so they naturally went back to the house.
This afternoon I saw a man in the woods and went to see what he was doing. He was getting the cat. He was with animal control. They would not let me have the animals. If I want them I would have to go to the pound and pay for each animal and have them spayed and neutered in 30 days. I already have 4 dogs and 3 cats and they won't let me have any more. But they did say that they can not put the cats to sleep because they are with kittens. I called them about the dogs. They said that they would not be put to sleep because of their personality's. Around here they get lots of wild dogs and cats that are not adoptable (because of stupid pet owners) ! That the two dogs and the cats are being held for the adoptions. They are very healthy all of them. That made me feel better. It still hurts.
Buddy was going to pick up the fence tonight we would have had the fence up by week end. I feel like I let them down. All together they picked up four cats 3 with kittens and two dogs . They are looking for the owners. People who live on the other side of the people that moved out called the pound. They didn't know I would have taken them. It is so not fair.

Oh I so hate "jobsworths" I'm sure there is a special corner in hell for them. You know what I mean the people who excuse their idiocy with "It's more than my job's worth"
What's more important? How many animals you have or killing one off? Couldn't they look to see if you could realistically look after them at least? i know it was a lot for you to take on but I also know you would have looked for other homes. I'm sorry Elaine, there is simply no understanding some people who are supposedly "animal lovers"

Oh no, well let's pray for someone to adopt them before they run out of time at animal control ...you can still post about them, describe them and if you had the chance to get some pics even better, then post at craigslist say that they are at the animal control center of your area, if anyone is looking for a pet they can go there and adopt them  .
