What should I do?

I called the two insurance company's, one on the camper and one on the house Saturday night. Then they both called today to tell me someone else would be calling me back to schedule a time to come out. Do I wait till they come and get quotas? Do I get quotas now? It has been a long time since I filed a claim on anything. I am not really sure what to do.
Do you have any advice? If so I could use it.

I think you should call them back and ask them these same questions.

Brew, I did ask and all I got was " I can't answer that, you will have to ask the person that calls you back." I was sitting here wondering why she called me in the first place.
The one on the camper I am not worried about. I am more worried about the house. I just feel so like I not doing any thing and should be !

Elaine - I'm guessing they would be sending out an appraiser who would then tell you how much the job should cost.   Does your insurer use preferred contractors?  Many do - it's a cost saving for them as they get a special deal.

The big problem is that when something big hits a whole area - they have many people to get around to.

We see it all the time here at this time of year with ice back-up claims and water damage.  My daughter had a whole month of looking at a hole in her kitchen ceiling that was about 3 ft x 5 ft.   The emergency crew cut it out but is was a month before anyone got back to repair it.
