I ended up back in the hospital yesterday because I had an enormous amount of bleeding "down there". Looks like it might be due to some of the placenta that wasn't expelled. Talk about scary!!!
Anyway, docs put me on antibiotics & methegine to contract my uterus so to expell it. If it doesn't work, then I'll find out at my OB appt. on Monday if they'll have to do a D&C (dilation and curettage).
I can't handle anymore of this crap. 
Anyway, just lettin ya'll know so no one gets worried about where i am.

I had the same thing done years ago after a miscarriage. I was hemorraghing. I was terrified, but so glad when the D&C was done.

I had that after a caesarean too Mel, the bleeding I mean. It happend a couple of times but I was so adamant I didn't want another op they let me have another "chance" and luckily it was all over.
It is frightening but it's one of those things that can happen so don't be afraid its "you". You aren't doing anything wrong

Can your GP do an ultrasound for you to confirm if its really retained products or not ?
Antibiotics work for 99% of the time and the body mostly takes care of itself really well. If you are breast feeding, you would have extra oxytocin released which will help with uterine contraction even more and it will heal quicker.
Heres hope that things will settle and you wont need a D&C.

I am still a little scared, but am accepting that whatever happens, happens. I just want to get better, I want to be strong again, play with my son and get back to being myself. I feel like I've had the life stripped out of me these past 2 weeks and just when I think things are getting better, a wrench gets thrown into the gears. 
Anyway, I'm doing some reading again, for inspiration and to get myself back on track. I'm finding that I've been in this pool of sadness and negativity that I need to get out of. I pretty much forgot what it was like to think positive, so I'm doing it here and there and hope to turn things around.
I'll let ya'll know after tomorrow's appt. just what's going on.

Had my appt. yesterday, would have posted earlier but we didn't get out of the clinic until 10min to 6pm.
Anyway, after I got a hug from my doc and the ususal questions were answered, I then asked him why I didn't get a blood transfusion, and he said it was because my body was strong and doing quite well with walking, no dizziness and my hemoglobin count was an 8.5. So that answered that question. (plus, my count is still going up quite well despite the 2nd bleeding I had)
As for the tissue that was found, after close examination, he said the tissue was coming from outside the cervix, not inside. He then took what he said looked like 3 polyps from me to send to the lab to be tested. (that made me cramp good afterwards, but during was not too bad, high pain threshold and all )
He also said my incision looked really good and that I was doing a good job taking care of it.
Before he left, he looked me in the eye and said that I'm going to be OK. That was such a relief!!!
So, no D&C and I made sure to create a mantra for the whole time I was there, and that was "Nothing but good news!". Jesse must have thought I was off my rocker because that's all I was muttering to myself, lol.
Oh, I also asked doc if I could have a beer, and he said "as long as you arn't breastfeeding, I don't see why not".
So Jesse took me out to eat afterwards and I had one. Ok, I could only stomach 1/2, but it tasted good! 
So that's the update!
